Training Services
NZQA, Competency & Workshop-Based Training
Our practical, down-to-earth training services are tailored to suit your terrain, transport types, and team dynamics. We offer both NZQA-accredited and competency-based training options, all with the flexibility to align with your workplace’s SOPs and job roles.
Vehicle & Equipment Training Courses
We deliver operator training for a wide range of machinery and transport types, including:
- Quad Bikes (Incl. flat, rolling, loaded & trailed options)
- Light Utility Vehicles (LUVs) (From basic to advanced handling, with or without loads)
- 4WD & AWD Light Vehicles (On-road and off-road operation, including recovery and unsealed surface driving)
- Light Simple Trailers (Up to GLW 3500kg - legal responsibilities, loading and towing)
- Tyre Chains (Fitting/removal demo or NZQA training available)
- Vehicle Recovery (Light 4WD vehicle extraction planning and execution)
- Chainsaw Safety & Maintenance (Hands-on workshops and competency-based training)
All courses can be delivered onsite, with integration of your specific SOPs, hazard profiles, and operational context.
Fleet Support Services
Fit-for-Purpose Evaluations & Incident-Based Support
We understand the pressures that come with managing rural and commercial vehicle fleets. Our fleet support services are designed to help you make informed, safety-first decisions with confidence.
We Offer:
- New Fleet Evaluation Events: Need help choosing the right vehicle or machine for your job? We organise structured evaluation days and test courses to compare performance across brands and types.
- Post-Incident Assessments: Concerned about a vehicle after an incident? We’ll assess your current units to determine whether they’re still fit for purpose and where improvements can be made.
- Transport and Trailer Checks: We'll look over set-ups that are causing concern, including weight distribution, legal load compliance, and vehicle matching.
- Manufacturer testing/evaluation: Independent, hands-on testing of new models to support manufacturers and businesses in understanding product performance in NZ conditions.
- Product training launching support: Rolling out a new 4WD, AWD or off road machine? We provide evaluation and training support during launch phases to ensure your team understands and operates it safely from day one.
All fleet support is available onsite or at a location arranged with you.
Mobile Weighing Services
Onsite Load Weighing & Compliance Checks
We bring the scales and expertise to your site to help ensure your vehicles and trailers are within legal loading and towing limits.- We focus on Class 1 vehicles (up to 6 tonne GCM)
- Scales capable of weighing up to 30 tonnes – suitable for tractors and agricultural equipment
- Detailed breakdown of gross, axle, and trailer weights
- Fully mobile – we come to your farm, worksite, depot, or yard
- Ideal for rural operators, tradies, councils, and commercial fleets
Workshops & Seminars
Practical Safety Learning in Group Format
We offer engaging, instructor-led sessions that focus on skill-building, awareness and hands-on experience.
Options Include:
- Introductory Workshops – for trailers, chainsaws, and general maintenance
- Familiarisations – vehicle handovers and in-cab operational coaching
- Seminars – safety-focused sessions for teams and leadership
Delivered at your site or a chosen venue, our workshops are ideal for groups wanting short, effective training bursts with real-life relevance.
Where We Operate
We’re based in Hawke’s Bay, but we travel throughout New Zealand, wherever our training is needed - farms, forestry blocks, government fleets, orchards, or industrial yards.
