eLearning is coming to you! – Upskilling with Practicality.
You might be sitting on the fence deciding if eLearning is right for you or your team and to be fair, for many years, we were very sceptical of it too.
We have witnessed improvements in what eLearning can offer provided the content and any assessment is relatable, engaging, relevant and delivered in a style that makes sense.
Our values in ensuring that training delivers a measurable difference is supported through our interactive eLearning courses developed from decades of professional and documented real life experience.
Ranging from Induction (Familiarisation) Courses to Competency and NZQA based courses, we aim to support you and your teams journey in on & off road work, and light trailers.
NI has begun this journey with confidence in knowing our key messages make a difference – this is our way of helping to get support to you in a way that suits your business.
Our course types include:
- Familiarisation Courses: An interactive curriculum entailing a series of mini courses that provide an introduction to modern technology, preparing and using a 4WD in and off road environment. Active thought processes and techniques that will support your team in setting consistent understanding from the start. A great option for those new to the team who would benefit from learning more about their vehicle and some thought processes to help them set sensible parameters as they begin operating a light 4WD vehicle.
- Competency based Courses: Designed for those who don’t require NZQA training but prefer relevant referenced training to support sensible, practical and productive 4WD vehicle use in an off-road environment. This course combines both an eLearning curriculum and a full day of practical training and experience in an off road environment. This is a fantastic course where on booking, we adjust our practical delivery to meet practical outcomes that relate to your specific fleet & working environments. This course can bring the most value to those seeking formal training that makes a practical difference and is sensible to those are not so assessment savvy!
- NZQA Unit Standard Based Courses: Designed for anyone who requires NZQA certification. NZQA provides a nationally recognised standard requiring set outcomes to be met. This two part course entails an eLearning curriculum and formal assessment. Once the eLearning assessment standard is met, a full day of practical field training and assessment will take place. While this can provide national certification, this may be undesirable to those wanting targeted training on specific fleet, load types and environments without the requirement of learning and being assessed in areas that will not be used.
In simple terms, “you cant train experience”!
Like anything, ongoing support and careful strategic practice is key to reducing skill fade and competency in any area we work. We offer and encourage ongoing support for practical based workshops and field days that allow for strategic skill maintenance with your team.
The eLearning journey begins together - Feel free to touch base with the NI team to discuss any parts of interest.
